CRITERIA

Under Graduate: B.Tech

The minimum qualification for admission into first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10+2) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects. Admissions to the College are made along with the other Engineering Colleges in the State through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

Post Graduate: M.Tech

The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the M.Tech course is a pass in the B.Tech. / B.E. conducted by any University or any other examination recognized as equivalent. Admissions to the College are made along with the other Engineering Colleges in the state through a common entrance test (PGECET/GATE).

MCA

The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the MCA course is a pass in Degree (B.Sc./B.Com./BCA) conducted by any University or any other examination recognized as equivalent. Admissions to the College are made along with the other Engineering Colleges in the state through a common entrance test (ICET).

Diploma (Second Shift Polytechnic)

The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the Diploma course is a pass in the 10th conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent. Admissions to the College are made along with the other Engineering Colleges in the state through a common entrance test (CEEP) conducted by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

B.Tech Admission Pattern

  • 70% of the seats are allotted by the Convener, based on merit in the EAMCET (A-Category).
  • 30% of the seats are earmarked for NRI/Management candidates (B-Category).
  • In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted into second year of B. Tech to the extent of 10% of intake based on merit in the ECET, under lateral entry scheme.

M.Tech admission pattern

  • Computer Science (CS): B.E / B. Tech in any branch of engineering with valid GATE score or eligibility at PGECET.
  • Electrical Power Systems (EPS): B. E / B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with valid GATE score or eligibility at PGECET.
  • Digital Electronics & Communication System (DECS): B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering with valid Gate score or eligibility at PGECET.

MCA Admission pattern

  • 70% of the seats are allotted by the Convener based on merit in the ICET.
  • 30% of the seats are earmarked for NRI/Management candidates.

SCHOLARSHIP

SVEC believes in extending full support to deserving students who work really hard to accomplish their goals. The college offers scholarships for those deserving merit students who cannot afford to pay the fee. Students belonging to the reservation category – BC, SC and ST are given concessions.
